Full-Time Mental Health Counselor Hired

Dean of Students Susan Lee has announced the hire of a full-time Mental Health Counselor. 

Nzingha Dalila, EdD, LPCC-S, LCDC-III will join the Student Life team on January 3, 2018. Dr. Dalila brings significant work experience as a clinical counselor to the position, including seven years as a mental health counselor in higher education at the University of Cincinnati Counseling and Psychological Services.

Her work experience includes individual and group counseling, community mental health services, and coordinating community resources with local emergency services. She currently teaches Motivational Interviewing, Case Management in Community Mental Health Services, Crisis Intervention, Assessment and Diagnosis, and Diversity in Professional Settings, among other topics at UC Clermont.

Nzingha is particularly excited to come to Antioch College, and noted during her interview that she has wanted to work at Antioch for many years. Her doctorate is in Counseling Education and Supervision (Dissertation topic: “The Development and Validation of the Social Justice Involvement Scale”), her M.S. is in Counseling, and her B.A. is in African-American Studies. An avid environmentalist and outdoors enthusiast, she is also looking forward to living in Yellow Springs, Ohio to enjoy all that our village has to offer.
