National Geographic Educator Workshop at Antioch College

Antioch College is pleased to welcome National Geographic Education to campus to present an Educator Workshop: The Human & Natural World, on Saturday, September 15, from 10 AM to 12 noon.

This session is for formal and informal educators but is suitable for all attendees interested in how education can incorporate the Human & Natural worlds while addressing sustainability, ecology, culture, geography, and the standard K-12 subjects. The NatGeo Learning Framework is based on developing the Attitudes, Skills, and Knowledge (ASK) necessary to foster an Explorer mindset. After this Phase 1 session, attendees are invited to continue the free educator certification process with an online cohort. In Phases 2 and 3, you’ll apply the ASK Learning Framework and integrate studies with your students across the scales and perspectives of the human and natural world.  Educators completing the program have opportunities to work with explorers in the field, connect with other like-minded people in the NatGeo community, and are eligible for Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship explorer journeys to Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands.
