West Virginia emergency water donation drop-off

Wednesday, January 15, 2014 - 9:00am to Thursday, January 16, 2014 - 4:00pm

As you may know, there is a water emergency happening in West Virginia. Alumna and Antioch College staff member Maya Nye '99 is on site and coordinating with members of our staff, some relief to the residents in the form of water delivery from the Antioch community. Anyone can help!

We will have at least one delivery vehicle traveling to meet Maya in West Virginia to deliver clean, fresh water to residents. Bottled or jugs of water can be dropped off at the Jarco building, directly behind WYSO (signs are posted to identify the drop off location) between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. today and tomorrow ONLY. Members of the Physical Plant staff will be available to accept the donations and the trucks will be leaving early Friday morning.

Please assist with this critical project of delivering clean water to the residents of West Virginia that cannot drink their water due to a chemical leak into their water systems. Any donations no matter the quantity will be helpful. Questions? E-mail Tom Brookey at
