Paul William Perlsweig, P.E., 67, of West Hartford, CT, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017, after a short, tenacious battle with cancer. Born in Salem, NJ, he was the son of the late Drs. A. Maxwell and Goldanna Perlsweig.

Paul was a licensed professional engineer in Connecticut and New Jersey. He was a graduate of Antioch College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Hartford, CT. He worked for the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for several years, and then opened his own practice as a consulting engineer. In later years he operated a local handyman business.

For many years he also maintained a sculpture studio where he made welded metal sculptures.

He leaves his wife, Abbie Sikes Perlsweig; and sons Simon Israel and Benjamin Lavi Perlsweig, all of West Hartford. He leaves a brother, David, and his wife, Leslie, of New Hope, Pennsylvania; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Donations in Paul's memory may be made to The Emanuel Synagogue. May his memory be a source of strength and blessing.
